The Celebration Roadshow team

The Best Wedding DJ in Bristol

Phill

My first ever DJ gig was over 30 years ago, when the youth club leader at the Thornbury Methodist Church suggested that Gav & I ‘played a few records’ for the club Christmas party. We then ran the youth club discos and became known as the local party DJ’s, running parties for family and friends. In 1990 we got our ‘big-break’ when we became the in-house DJ’s for Alveston House Hotel. My favourite kind of party is any where the guests really let their hair down! Seeing people enjoying themselves and having fun is a wonderful way to spend an evening. With a wedding I enjoy getting to know couples to help them create a truly memorable wedding celebration.
Cheltenham Wedding DJ Stu

I have been a DJ since I was 20, when I got the chance to cover for a DJ at an event. I have known Phil and Gav for 8 years but it was only 4 years ago when I was a DJ in a local pub that we started to collaborate. A year later I became the 4th member of the team. Working together has given us extra motivation and enthusiasm to take on bigger and more complex events. My favourite parties are those that incorporate a bit of old school dance and trance but I also enjoy Indie and rock nights as they are always the nights that don’t want to finish! The best parties are when you’ve met the clients and discussed their day and you build the entertainment around their expectations.
Award Winning DJ Gav

Gav

I have been a DJ for 30 years, starting out at the Thornbury Methodist Youth Club discos. By the age of 17 myself and Phil were running our own mobile discos mainly for the youth club or friends. After moving to Essex at the age of 18I returned to Thornbury at 26 and became part of the TCR team again. I love every kind of party, a good wedding, Birthday or Xmas, as long as people are having fun. Even better if I can play 90’s dance music. I enjoy building the relationship with the client and audience, and seeing their enjoyment when everything comes together with the entertainment, whether that be a packed dance floor or just creating a moment to remember. It gives me a real buzz to see smiling faces.
James, your Wedding DJ warming the audience up

My passion for DJing started in the 90’s and I bought my first turntables in 2000 . In 2006 I set up a mobile disco service with my friend Russ. One of their first gigs was an 80’s party at Yate Town Football Club. I met Phil at my day job as an engineer and we often shared ideas. In 2014 myself and Russ became part of TCR and I attended several courses including introduction techniques. What I enjoy most about being a DJ is the variety of venues and events I work at and working together as a team with photographers, videographers and caterers to make a Bride and Groom’s special day run as smoothly as possible.
DJ Mike Hosting Your Wedding

Mike

My DJ career began at 18 after helping a local DJ several times; the passion to entertain became too strong not to be behind the mic and in front of an audience myself. My first Roadshow was formed and went on to be voted into Galaxy FM’s top 5 mobile discos in Bristol. My Djing style developed, and I was soon working in many of Bristols nightclubs and in various locations abroad. I have worked alongside some great names and seasoned professionals, who have all helped me develop into the entertainer I am today. Having known the TCR team for many years, it was great to join the TCR team in 2018. There’s no sitting down on my watch!!

I have been a DJ since 2002 after starting on a campsite in France whilst working as a holiday rep. I have known Phil since childhood and he DJ’d my wedding in 2007. We got talking about my DJ background and he advised me to update my kit and work with TCR. We did get off to a bad start though as on my first ever gig using TCR kit I blew the sub, whoops! My favourite kind of party to DJ is a party where everyone is up for it and you can play everything from 60’s and Motown to Prodigy and Faithless and everyone is still dancing.

Daryl

Daryl has been DJing since 1997 after being rope’d into singing at a karaoke gig then helped with the setting up and running each week 2 years later Daryl purchased equipment and proceeded to continue as his love for DJing grew. Daryl has always loved music from a very young age where his parents wanted to break certain records due to them being played so much. Having covered many bookings for Celebration Roadshow over the years, it is great that he has joined the team.
